Services

Danu offers four core engagements. The first three are the most common ways new clients work with us. Each can be scoped up or down to suit the project.

  • A fresh, cross-disciplinary lens on your project at a critical stage.

Most reviews are done by specialists looking at their own discipline. We review the project as a whole system, checking how the planning, infrastructure, utilities, transport, architecture, environment and landscape decisions are interacting, where the over-engineering is, where the resilience gaps are, and where the integration opportunities are being missed.

Right for you if: you're at concept, masterplan, or design-development stage on a complex urban project and want a senior, independent view before committing further capital.

Typical scope: 4–8 weeks, document review + site visit + workshop + written report with prioritised recommendations.

    Indicative fee: from AUD $25,000.

    • We provide independent, expert reviews of your consultants’ work at key project stages.

    • We identify opportunities to strengthen resilience, efficiency, and regeneration.

    • We spot potential risks or gaps that could impact your project’s success.

    • You gain confidence that your project is on the right track, avoid costly oversights, and demonstrate due diligence to stakeholders and investors.

  • A focused deep-dive into the systemic vulnerabilities and opportunities of a single project.

Where a design review looks at the design, the diagnostic looks at the project's exposure: cascading risks, supply-chain and utility dependencies, watershed and ecological context, energy and material throughput, and the disciplines and decisions most likely to determine whether the project is still viable in 30 years. Visual outputs (network and consequence diagrams) are typically included.

Right for you if: you have a major project where the business case rests on long-term assumptions you'd like stress-tested honestly, or a board/investor who needs to see the systemic picture.

Typical scope: 2–4 weeks, focused engagement, written report and presentation.

    Indicative fee: from AUD $20,000.

  • Embedded 1–2 days per week to challenge assumptions and integrate disciplines from the inside.

A retained senior advisor role for organisations that want the systems perspective continuously available rather than as a one-off review. Useful inside development agencies, large consultancies running complex programmes, and developers running flagship projects where the cost of getting the integration wrong is high.

Right for you if: you're running a complex project or programme over 6–24 months and need someone who can sit across disciplines, challenge groupthink, and translate strategy into buildable design responses.

    Typical engagement: 6–12 month retainer, 1–2 days/week.

    Indicative day rate: AUD $2,500–4,000.

  • Anticipate risks, protect value, and build for the future

Our proportionate, targeted approach helps you reduce risk while reassuring investors, insurers, and communities that your project is prepared for tomorrow's challenges.

    • We conduct physical risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities to extreme weather and long-term environmental trends.

    • Our transition risk assessments address your exposure to regulatory, market, and technological shifts.

    • We map cascading risks to reveal interconnected vulnerabilities across your operations and supply chains.

    • We develop practical adaptation strategies tailored to your context and priorities, in collaboration with your team.

    • You gain protected asset value and enhanced operational resilience.

Indicative fee: project-dependent, typically from AUD $20,000.

Not Sure Which Fits?

Most clients start with a 30-minute scoping call. We'll agree an agenda beforehand, and you'll leave with a clearer view of the question — whether or not we end up working together.
