A Net Zero Problem

Those following Australian politics will have noted that the federal Opposition is questioning Net Zero, while the Environment Minister just green-lit a major natural gas extension, which doesn't do the country's Net Zero aspirations any favours.

I can see their point of view: Economically, it is madness to pursue Net Zero.

But environmentally, it is suicidal not to.

We can't have it both ways, and we can't change the biophysical reality that we need a healthy biosphere to keep us alive.
